With the HDSLR industry growing at such a rapid pace photographers now have the tools to acquire beautiful High Definition video footage and stunning high resolution photos created directly from the same camera. Photographers find themselves in a unique position due to the latest technologies being offered by Canon and Nikon that will allow them to capture two different types of media with the click of a button.

This new type of media creation has created a whole new sector within our industry. Photographers will need to know how to edit and deliver their HD footage. They’ll also want to know how to blend photo’s with video set to music and graphics. With so many ways to deliver video photographers will also need to understand how to create Blu-Ray DVD’s or Standard DVD’s that will play correctly on set top players. Creating a video that can be streamed on a website or properly uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo or SmugMug also has it’s challenges.

Samy’s is proud to offer a truly unique training class titled Final Cut Pro for Photographers. This class is a first in our industry. In this class an Apple Certified Final Cut Pro instructor who also makes a living with photography and video production will cover all that you need to know in a one day hands on class.

Each student will have his or her own editing computer with Final Cut Pro installed. With only 13 seats available each student will receive the type of attention they truly need to properly understand Final Cut Pro and know what it takes to deliver a finished project. You’ll actually be working on a real world project that was shot entirely on a HDSLR camera.

This is the class to take if you want to learn the proper workflow for editing your HD footage utilizing Final Cut Pro.

Frank Rohmer has 14 years of experience in professional and broadcast !video production. He has created projects for EA Sports, Oakley! Sunglasses, Callaway Golf, SONY Electronic, !Microsoft, Nestle, Hampton Products, T-Mobile, AT&T and HTC to name a! few. He is also an Apple Certified Trainer that has successfully authored training curriculum that has sold around the world. Frank has been invited to speak !at training events for Apple, AVID, UCI, Stanford University, Ventura County School! District,! The City of Las Vegas and The MGM Hotel. Frank is also a professional photographer that combines the two worlds of Photography and Videography for most of his projects. With his extensive experience !in video production and photography Frank had produced over 1,000 projects to date. Franks works full time for the Eleven Agency as Director of Video! Production and over sees all aspects !of photography video production within the company.
